Message: When I remember Cathy, I remember her sweet smile. I can remember on her good days how her face would light up as you walked into her room. There were times when she would talk and laugh about what she did growing up and she was such a joy to be around. I am so grateful that I had the privilege of just knowing her and in a small way being a part of her life. She suffered so much but she was such a strong person and I don't know of anyone who could have taken all the pain as well as Cathy did. There wasn't a day that went by that one of her family members wasn't there just to make sure that she ate her lunch and was ok. Especially Lucy and Carl, Earnestine and there was Raymond who was always there on Saturday and Sunday to give her lunch to her. I can remember Raymond going to the Dairy Queen to get ice cream for her and any roommate that she had. They surely did enjoy that. She had a kind and loving family who stuck by her until the end. We should all be so lucky to have a family like Cathy had. She was one lucky lady to have had them, they really loved her and I know they will miss her. She certainly took a piece of my heart with her when she passed on but I know she is in a better place now with no pain and suffering. I love you Cathy, you were so much a part of my life and for that I am grateful.
