Obituary

Theresa “Faye” Lee Stamey, age 54 of Cornelia, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.

Born in Conyers, Georgia on November 18, 1965, she was a daughter of the late William Robert Lee, Sr. and Lillian Masters Lee. Mrs. Stamey was a store clerk with Express Mart in Demorest for many years before becoming a caregiver for her mother.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Claude & Dee Stamey of Baldwin; daughter and fiancé, Heather Orr & Jason Tanksley of Cornelia; grandchildren, Cody Daniel Orr, Landon Campbell Orr and Nicholas John Stamey; brothers, William Robert Lee, Jr. of Warner Robbins and Richard Daniel Lee of Alto; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Stamey’s wishes were to be cremated and private services will be held at a later date.

I love you, Mama more than words could ever express. I wasn’t ready for you to leave yet. You were my best friend. We were so dependent on each other and I honestly don’t know how I’m going to do this without you. I’m sorry you didn’t get more time with your babies. My heart is broken.

I still can't believe my best friend from childhood is gone? How can you be gone so so soon? Oh the fun times we had a kids. How many nights over the years was I always at your house or you at mine. Memories I will always cherish. RIP my friend. I love you and will miss you!
