Obituary for Thelma Ree Corn Shook

Thelma Ree Corn Shook, age 68 of Demorest, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Towns County on December 16, 1946, she was a daughter of the late George Corn and Lola Ramey Corn. Mrs. Shook was a homemaker and a charter member of Good News Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed flowers and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Ricky Shook.
Surviving are husband, Chester Wade Shook of Demorest; son and daughter-in-law, Mickey & Jeanne Shook of Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy & Perry Terrell of Demorest; daughter, Christy Shook of Demorest; sisters, Nora Shedd of Blairsville and Helen Schofitt of Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Georgia Lee & Don Murphy of Blairsville; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Friday, July 10, 2015, at Good News Baptist Church with Rev. Tully Griggs and Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 & 7-9 pm on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Thelma Ree Corn Shook Memorial Fund, PO Box 725, Cornelia, GA 30531.
