I have a memory of Monica that I would like to share. I was best friends with laureen in school. Monica als says treated me like a sister. She was kind , fun and always there when needed. One particular night, when laureen and I were about 16 we went to a “party cabin” in the backwoods of Campbell. We had each told our parents we were going to be at the others house. Well when we showed up, no one was there! We were too scared to stay the night alone so we went to Monica’s place. It was after midnight ny the time we got there. She of course welcomes us with open arms and let us crash on her couch. She was the big sister I ever had. She kept our little secret like any good sister and made sure we were safe. I’ll never forget that. It was then that I knew I could always rely on her as a big sister. I will miss her. Rest In Peace , Monica.

The one thing that I will always remember about my cousin is how much bigger than life she always seemed. Although we may be fat apart you will always be hidden in my heart. To her friends and family I send you my deepest condolences. Love you always.

Growing up, I looked up to you. I’ll never forget you protecting me. You made growing up with three older sisters tolerable. You were always so kind to me, and always made me feel welcomed when you’d take little 8yo me to hang out with your older friends. You never made me feel like I was a nuisance. I never told you, but you were the reason I sprinted on the track team in high school. I wanted to run as fast as you could and beat the record you set. You will be missed. I love you, Monica.
