Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on October 30, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Charles Idus Harris and Mary Lilliston James Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ellis Morgan; son, David Truett Morgan; sister, Nancy Hunnicutt.

Surviving are her son, Dennis “Tater” Morgan of Cornelia; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy & Bryan Zimmerman of Cornelia, Paula & Seth Larsen of Toccoa and Jeannie & Michael Garrett of Clarkesville; daughter-in-law, Beverly Morgan of Cornelia; grandchildren, Jonathan Morgan, Joseph Morgan, Megan Zimmerman, Emelia Larsen, Ethan Larsen, Kalebbe Garrett, Quentin Garrett, Cameron Garrett and Karina Garrett; great-grandchildren, Taylen Morgan and Annabella Morgan; brother, Charles A. Harris of Cleveland; sisters, Cherrie Cottrell of Mt. Airy and Renee Carr of Clarkesville; many nieces and nephews.
