Obituary for James Milton "Jimmy" Jones
James Milton “Jimmy” Jones, age 69, of Cornelia, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020.
Born on December 8, 1950, in Clarkesville, he was a son of the late Felix Milton “Buck” Jones and Sadie Marie Martin Fowler. Mr. Jones was a foreman for Herrin Communities and was a veteran of the United States Army. Jimmy was a hard worker and enjoyed fishing, sitting on the porch, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Edward Jones and three grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Ann Knight Jones of Cornelia; sons and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Cristen Jones of Cornelia and Frank Edward Jones of Eastanollee; daughters and son-in-law, LaWanda Ann and Norman “Boss” Giles of Clarkesville and Carrie Jean Jones of Cornelia; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Taylor Jones of Seneca, SC and Janet Sue Simmemon of Cornelia; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
