Obituary for Charlotte Louise Kell (Dunaway)
Charlotte Louise Dunaway Kell, age 88, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022.
Born on February 26, 1934 in Rome, she was a daughter of the late Jack Dunaway and Emily Broom Dunaway. Charlotte was retired from Wal-Mart as a sales associate, and was previously employed with Celanese Textile Mill. In her spare time she enjoyed photography, especially weddings. She loved her family dearly, and is described by her family as a giver. Charlotte was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Horace Eugene Kell; daughter, Krystal Connie Eller; and granddaughter, Brandy Nicole Fowler.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-laws, Daniel Fowler (Cheryl) of Mt. Airy, Steve Fowler (Susie) of Cave Springs, and David Fowler of Rome; daughter and son-on-law, Kechara Partin (Doug) of Cleveland; 22 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Nellie Duke of Carrolton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 pm on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at McGahee-Griffin & Stewart.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am, on Thursday, December 1, 2022 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Phillip Yarber officiating. Interment will follow in Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
