Obituary for Charles Keith Dockins
Charles Keith Dockins, age 63 of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022.
Born on June 11, 1958, he was a son of the late Charles Landrum Dockins and Betty Frady Dockins. Mr. Dockins was a United States Army Veteran and was employed with Fieldale Farms Corporation for the last 25 years. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren and was very involved in their lives. An avid sports fan, in his spare time he enjoyed pulling for the Georgia Bulldogs, and was an exceptional golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Pitts Dockins of Mt. Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Betsy Dockins of Sautee-Nacoochee; daughter Jennifer King of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Trey King, River Dockins ,Tinsley King and Ty King; bonus child/sister-in-law, Lera Hendrixson of Mt. Airy.
Funeral services are 2 pm, Thursday, April 7, 2022, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Georgia National Guard and the Grant Reeves Veterans Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at the funeral home.
