Obituary for Alice Lena Loggins Hix
Alice Lena Loggins Hix, age 86 of Alto, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021.
Born in Clermont, Georgia on October 12, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Frank and India Waldon Loggins. Mrs. Hix retired from Wrigley Company after many years of service. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Lester Wayne Hix; daughter, Jo Ann Wade; siblings, Gene Loggins, Roy Loggins, Clyde Loggins, Barnett Loggins, Ralph Loggins, Ruth Cagle, Inez Hix and Curtis Zelmadene Loggins.
Surviving are her loving husband of 67 years, Silas Hix of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Randy & Tonya Hix of Alto; son-in-law, Jimmy Wade of Helen; grandchildren and spouse, Mark & Meghan Wade of Demorest, Clara Hix of Washington and Katie Hix of Alto; great-grandchildren, Cody Wade, Karsen Wade, Erin Chestnut and Hallie Chestnut; great-great grandchild, Lilah McKay.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Lamar Kastner and Rev. Ray Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
